Dr. Benjamin Kweku Acolatse
Managing Partner & Co-founder
Dr. Benjamin Kweku Acolatse is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of BE Law Consult. As a Legal Practitioner, he was called to the Bar in October 2010. He is the former Deputy Chief Executive, Finance & Administration of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation where he had oversight over Legal & Compliance, Finance, Supply Chain, Works & Information Technology, Human Resource and Administration Divisions. He is a Notary Public for Ghana, Chartered Accountant, Computer Systems Analyst, Chartered Management Consultant and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Dr. Acolatse was educated at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana School of Law, University of London and NiBS University/Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Bachelor of Laws degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Management, Postgraduate Certificate in Law, Diploma in Data Processing, Qualifying Certificate in Law, certificate as a Chartered Certified Accountant, Master of Laws and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with specialization in Strategic Management. His Ph.D. Thesis focused on the topic, Effect of Corporate Environmental Sustainability on Dimensions of Firm Performance in the Energy Sector: The Roles of Market Orientation and Regulatory Awareness.
His expansive academic journey as demonstrated above has shaped him into a modern business executive with the agility to lead through innovation, complexity, and cross-sector collaboration. Beyond corporate leadership, he has spent over two decades in academia, mentoring the next generation in Business Administration, Information Technology, Accounting & Finance and Law.
He brings over 25 years of multifaceted executive management experience across both private and public sector institutions, spanning diverse fields such as oil and gas, information technology, trade and commerce, railway infrastructure and regulation, automobile industry, academia, and legal practice. His leadership has consistently delivered strategic value, combining deep industry knowledge with a people-centered approach to enhance shareholder returns while improving the livelihoods of employees under his stewardship. His portfolio of responsibilities has spanned Legal & Compliance, Accounting & Finance, Supply Chain, Works, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Administration.
As a board-level advisor, Dr. Acolatse has over 15 years of experience in corporate and governmental boardrooms; offering valuable judgement and direction in many instances, regarding, CEO/ Vice Chancellor successions, Corporate Strategy and Restructuring, Audits and Compliance requirements, Accounting & Finance, Legal, among others, to several organisations, both old and emerging. He currently serves as the Board Chair of Goldstar Insurance Brokers Limited and Prempeh College. He is a Board Member of other institutions and the Global President of the Prempeh College Old Students Association.
He is a recipient of the 2024 Exemplary Leader in Energy Award (MEA Region) and continues to contribute as a speaker and panelist across global platforms. His leadership philosophy is anchored in values-driven governance, institutional excellence, and nation-building.
Dr Acolatse is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership & Governance, Member of the Ghana Bar Association, Member of the International Bar Association, Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Member of Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants, and Member of the Institute of Directors.
Abass Kalimba Amankwa
Managing Partner
Abass Kalimba Amankwa is a Managing Partner of BE Law Consult
with over a decade of distinguished legal practice,
complemented by extensive experience in Human Resource
Management. Before joining BE Law Consult, he worked with Osei
Kofi Legal Consult in Kumasi as a Partner. Abass was called to
the Ghana Bar in 2010 after earning his Barrister-at-Law
(B.L.) from the Ghana School of Law and Bachelor of Laws
(LL.B.) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology
(KNUST). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from
the University of Ghana.
Over the years, Abass has served as Solicitor and Legal
Advisor to leading local and multinational companies,
including Latex Foam Rubber Products Limited and Ghana
Breweries Limited. His corporate advisory portfolio includes
contract drafting and negotiation, compliance management,
labour dispute resolution, and representation before the
courts and other statutory bodies such as the National Labour
Commission. As a Consultant and a managing Partner of BE Law
Consult, he has been an advocate to numerous companies and
institutions such as Stanbic Bank Ghana on debt recoveries in
the Ashanti Region, Defense Lawyer for Newmont Gold Ghana
Limited in Lands, Mines, Pollution and Industrial Labour cases
in the Brong Ahafo Region, Solicitor for Premium Foods

Before entering full-time legal practice, Abass built a solid
foundation in Human Resource Management and Administration,
serving in senior management roles at Latex Foam Rubber
Products Limited and Ghana Breweries Limited. This unique
blend of legal acumen and business management insight enables
him to provide practical, results-oriented solutions that
align with clients’ commercial objectives.
Abass is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and has
participated in lots of high-level professional training,
including specialized courses in legal management in oil and
gas. He is known for his strategic thinking, negotiation
skills, and unwavering commitment to client success.
His rich experience in court room advocacy skills ensures the

Mrs. Joana Yeboah - Gyan
Chief Principal Associate
Joana Yeboah-Gyan (Mrs) is a highly accomplished Lawyer with
fifteen (15) years of experience in legal practice. She was
called to the Bar in October 2010, and as a Legal
Practitioner, she has an in-depth knowledge of Labour Law and
compliance matters. She also holds LLB (Hons) and B.A (Hons)
Sociology and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology, and a Final Qualifying Diploma from the
Chartered Institute of Administration, Ghana.
She has been working as an External Solicitor for Kumasi
Technical University for the past four years (2021 to present)
after active service with the University. She distinguished
herself as the brain behind the establishment of the Legal
Directorate in 2010 and secured licensing of the Directorate
as a Law Chamber. She headed the Directorate from the year
2010 to 2021. During the period, she advised the University
Council and Management on legal implications, including fair
labour practices, advised staff and the Students’
Representative Council (SRC) on legal matters, reviewed
institutional documents and provided legal opinions, served on
Committees of Enquiry and other standing committees,
represented the Institution in court and other paralegal
organizations.
She led the Legal Team: i. To successfully settle a case
between the University and two staff of the University at
CHRAJ. ii. At the Commercial Court in a case between a former
staff and the University, where the staff was ordered to pay
back monies owed the University. iii. At the Human Rights
Court to win a case between a student and the University.
Joana Yeboah-Gyan (Mrs) was among the team that drafted
numerous policies for the University, including but not
limited to Security Policy, Handbook for Legal Directorate,
University Statutes, Human Resource Strategic Plan, etc.
Further to her legal expertise, she is a self-motivated and hardworking individual with a strong background in human resource management and banking. Before she was appointed the Head of the Legal Directorate, she was the Admissions Officer for Kumasi Technical University from 2006 to 2008.
She also worked as the Administrative Officer for the Bank of Ghana from the year 2000 to 2006 and Cashier Checker from 1993 to 2000. She demonstrates excellent leadership skills, team motivation, and effective communication. She is also known for her problem-solving abilities and performance-driven mindset.
Joseph Yankson
Adjunct Principal Associate.
Joseph Yankson is an accomplished Legal Practitioner with over a decade of professional experience, having been called to the Ghana Bar in 2013. He has extensive legal and managerial expertise gained from working across both the private and public sectors in Ghana, with a strong background in Energy Law and Advisory, Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance, and Public Policy.
Joseph is a Adjunct Principal Associate member of BE Law Consult and a Senior Legal Counsel at the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, where he provides strategic legal support in the management of legal and related issues arising from the operations of the Ministry, its Sector Agencies, and other Government Agencies. In this role he liaises with the Attorney General’s department in the preparation and defence of litigation instituted against the Ministry and also, liaises with Parliament in the preparation and passage into law of sector-related legislation as well as the approval of sector related agreements.
Before joining the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Joseph had built a strong foundation in both education and corporate management. He had begun his career with the Ghana Education Service as a Teacher/Examiner, later moving into the corporate sector where he worked with Cadbury Ghana Limited as Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for the Northern, Upper East, and Upper West Regions and later as an Area Manager for the Northern Sector (Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East, and Upper West Regions).
Academically, Joseph has pursued advanced studies with a strong focus on Law, Business, and Energy. He holds a Master of Energy Law and Policy (LLM) from the University of Dundee, Scotland; a Barrister-at-Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law; a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a B.A. (Hons) in English and Sociology all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He has further enriched his expertise through international training programs, including but not limited to the following: a Seminar on Public-Private Partnerships and Infrastructure Finance (International Law Institute, Washington DC), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Training (Solers Management Institute, Dubai),Power Purchase Agreements(Anucana Training Institute, Dubai), a Workshop on Best Practices for International Oil and Gas Agreements and workshops on International Arbitration, among others.
Joseph has contributed his expertise to several high-level committees and initiatives in Ghana’s energy sector. Notably, he has served as a co-opted member of the Government Negotiation Team (GNT) for Petroleum Agreements, a member of the Task Force on the establishment of Ghana’s Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, and part of the three-member team that collaborated with Norwegian Consultants Arntzen De Besche Advokatfirma to complete Ghana’s Model Petroleum Agreement. He has also served on the Disciplinary and Complaints Settlement Committee of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and he is recognized for his strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
William Mark Adolwine
Senior Associate
William Mark Adolwine is a Part Time Senior Lecturer at the
Department of Land Economy of the Kwame Nkrumah University of
Science & Technology where he lectures in Land Tenure,
Property Law and Conveyancing, Land Management, Landlord and
Tenant Relations, Law of Compulsory Land Acquisition,
Customary Land Law and Land Dispute Resolution.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Land Economy
from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and
an MPhil also in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge
in the UK. He later obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
also from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology
and was called to the Bar upon the completion of the
Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of Law in
September 2016. He has since combined teaching with private
legal practice. As an academic, he is a dedicated lecturer and
his three decades in academia has shaped and equipped him with
vast experience in land and real estate law and immovable
property matters with a fervent drive for excellence.
He has conducted extensive research into land management, land
acquisitions and land tenure reforms needed for sustainable
poverty reduction and agricultural development and also into
land ownership and landlord and tenant relations and has many
publications and widely published in refereed journals.

Mark is also a surveyor and a professional member of the Ghana

Valuation and Estate Surveying practices with particular
interest in Real Estate transactions and conveyancing,
Property Management, and resolving disputes related to real
estate. He has also advised extensively on immovable property
matters.
David Adagblenya
Adjunct Senior Associate
Mr. David Adagblenya is a Director in the Public Service and
practices as an adjunct associate of BE Law Consult, Accra. He
was called to the Bar in September 2016, and as a Legal
Practitioner, his areas of interest in legal practice include
advocacy in Commercial transactions, including investment
related matters, Employee and Employer relations matters,
Corporate Governance issues, Construction Law, Family Law and
resulting trust matters.
Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for
delivering strategic legal solutions to both corporate and
individual clients, underpinned by a deep understanding of
Ghana’s business and regulatory environment.
Mr. Adagblenya brings to the Chamber, a unique fusion of legal
expertise, human capital development experience, and strategic
leadership gained over two decades of service in both the
private and public sectors. He had been practicing with
Adomako-Kwakye Law Consulting, a legal firm in Kumasi until
joining BE Law Consult, and until recently, he was the
Director of Human Resources and Secretary to the Board of
Directors of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), an
Arbitrator/Mediator at the National Labour Commission (NLC)
among other notable positions.
He has vast experience in Corporate Governance, Public Sector
Management, Public Procurement, Commercial Transactions
including compliance in the Banking and Communication Sectors,
Labour and Employment as well as Family Law. Other areas of
interest include fund raising for NGOs.
He is a trusted advisor to boards, executives, and
entrepreneurs, offering counsel that is not only legally sound
but also commercially viable. His extensive experience in
Labour Relations, Corporate Restructuring, Governance
Frameworks, and Dispute Resolution makes him a sought-after
authority in these practice areas. He has also been
instrumental in drafting and implementing policy and
governance documents, including Board Charters, Schemes of
Service, and Human Resource Manuals for major institutions.
Mr. Adagblenya’s professional credentials are complemented by
an impressive academic background. He holds an LLM (Labour Law
and Practice), University of Ghana (UG), MA (Human Resources
Development), University of Cape Coast (UCC), MBA (Finance)
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST),
BSc (Agric. Economics) University of Development Studies, and
a Barrister of Law Professional Certificate (BL) from the
Ghana School of Law. His commitment to excellence is further
reflected in his professional memberships with the Ghana Bar
Association (GBA), Chartered Institute of Human Resource

he is particularly interested in using ADR to resolve issues

Fermon Yaw Appiah Kubi
Associate
Fermon Yaw Appiah Kubi is a Part Time Senior Lecturer at the
Department of Land Economy of the Kwame Nkrumah University of
Science & Technology where he lectures in Land Tenure,
Property Law and Conveyancing, Land Management, Landlord and
Tenant Relations, Law of Compulsory Land Acquisition,

Ellis Acquah
Associate
Ellis Acquah is a dedicated legal professional, called to the
Ghana Bar in May 2021. He has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from
the University of London, United Kingdom, and he is in the
course of becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of
Taxation (C.I.T), Ghana.
Ellis Acquah also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in
Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra
(UPSA) and hopes to complete his professional accountancy
journey with the Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (A.C.C.A), United Kingdom. He is also a
Commissioner for Oaths duly commissioned by the Chief Justice
of Ghana.

Angela Dede Namo Auch
Adjunct Associate
Angela Dede Namo Auch is a dual-trained professional; A Legal
Practitioner and a Professional Human Resource Expert with
over 20 years’ experience in both Public and Private Sectors.
Industry experience includes Telecom Multinational Companies,
Finance and Health.
A Legal Practitioner and a Certified Senior Human Resource
Executive with over two decades of experience delivering
strategic leadership across Ghana’s Public and Private
sectors. Her expertise uniquely positions her within the
Chamber as a leading Authority on Labour and Employment Law,
Corporate Compliance, Banking, Finance, and Public Sector
Advisory. She was called to the Bar in October 2023.
As a Professional HR Expert, Angela currently is the Director,
HR at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) where she
directs the overall Strategic Human Resource Function within
the Authority. She brings to the practice a wealth of
Executive Experience from previous Senior Management positions
she held with Tech Mahindra, First Assurance Micro Finance and
Vodafone/Ghana Telecommunications Company. Her strategic
understanding of organizational law and governance as well as
experience in Legal Compliance, Labor Dispute Resolution,
Union Negotiations, Regulatory Advisory Services,
Institutional Restructuring, Organizational Development,
Employment Contract Design makes her particularly valuable in
advisory services to government agencies, regulatory
institutions, and multinational clients operating within
Ghana’s jurisdiction and beyond.
She also holds a Barrister at Law Certificate from the Ghana
School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Central
University, an MBA in HR from GIMPA and a Bachelor of Arts
(Hons. English/Sociology) in Social Sciences from Kwame
Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a
Certified member of SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource
Management, Senior Certified Professional), SPHR (The Senior
Professional in Human Resources) and IHRMP, level 3 Student
Member (Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners,
Ghana). She further holds a Postgraduate Certificate in
Occupational Safety and Environmental Management, which

Angela has represented Ghana at the International Labour
Conference (ILO) in Geneva, the Global Health Leadership Forum
in San Francisco, and has undertaken numerous executive
training programs across the UK, USA, and South Africa. She is
currently a member of the HR and Capacity building
subcommittee of the Free Primary Health Care initiative under
the Ministry of Health. And her contributions to National
Policy Dialogue, Public Service Delivery, and Ethical
leadership make her an asset not only to the Chamber but to
the broader legal and governance community.
As a member of the Chamber, Angela brings onboard strong
analytical and practical insights. She brings a unique blend
of legal intellect, Executive Experience, and principled
leadership contributing significantly to the Chamber’s mission
and Vision.
Daniel Ebo Gyandoh
Junior Associate
Daniel Ebo Gyandoh holds a degree in Political Science and
Language from the University of Ghana. He also holds a Diploma
in Human Resource Management. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws
(LLB) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science &
Technology and was called to the Bar upon the completion of
the Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of Law in
2024.
Daniel has served on various boards of Institutions under the
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He has
since been so vital in the Human Resource Department and Legal
Department of Latex Foam Rubber Products Limited.
Abreast with labor regulations, he was nominated by the
Ashanti Regional Branch of the Ghana Employers Association to
serve on the National Labor Commission Tripartite committee
for the Region.
He is also an executive member of the Association of Ghana
Industries, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions.
Daniel is results-driven and ready to take responsibilities
known to achieve high standards. He is reliable and flexible,
with focus on leadership and problem-solving.

David Appoe
Junior Associate
David Appoe is a versatile and dedicated lawyer and member of BE Law Consult whose multidisciplinary background spans both the private and public sectors and has served in various capacities especially in land administration and property valuation. He currently serves as a Principal Valuation Officer (PVO) at the Lands Commission, where he provides technical and operational support in land valuation, supervises Senior Valuation Officers, and ensures the effective execution of the Commission’s mandate.
David brings to BE Law Consult a unique combination of legal insight and technical expertise, enabling him to deliver practical solutions on matters that involve real estate and land valuation.
In his role as a private property consultant, David has acquired property and ensured proper documentation for clients. His legal practice has been sharpened by his experiences with leading institutions such as Paintsil & Co. (Goshen Chambers), Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice (Civil Division) and Ibrahim A. Adams & Associates (Benkadi Chambers) thus gaining valuable experience in litigation, legal drafting and advisory services.
David’s professionalism, reliability, and analytical acumen have earned him respect among peers and clients alike. He is a Certificate of Service recipient from the High Court of Justice, Kumasi, for his role as a Juror during the 2017/2018 Assizes Year.
David holds a Barrister-at-Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law, an LLB, BSc (Hons.) in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), an HND in Estate Management from the Kumasi Technical University and was called to the Bar in 2024. He is also a Chartered Surveyor, registered with the Ghana Institute of Surveyors (GhIS).
He has also contributed to several major National Projects in compensation valuation, with examples being the Genser Energy Natural Gas Pipeline Project (Dawusaso–Ejisu), the Ghana Railway Company Mpakadan–Paga Railway Project (Bimbila–Walewale) and the Ridge Redevelopment Project which involved the valuation of Government Properties at Ridge, Danyame & Nhyiaeso redevelopment.
